The Port Harcourt – Enugu section of the 463 km railway constructed by ESER is completed and handed over to Nigerian Railway Corporation with a big ceremony.
With the participation of the Vice President of Nigeria and the Minister of Transport, a Flag-Off Ceremony is held in the Port Harcourt Station.
Vice President Sambo, in his speech, has thanked Eser for being the foremost of the contractors working for the Nigerian Railway Corporation, and completing the section with very good quality, before any other contractor working on other contracts.
Following the ceremony in the station, the delegation took the train for its first trip to Imo River and Enugu. The train is cheered by the Nigerians throughout the route.
